General Alterations Consultation

For standard alterations such as hemming, zipper replacements, and simple adjustments, a consultation may not be necessary. However, if your request involves more complex alterations—such as resizing a garment, modifying design elements, working with specialty fabrics, or adding structural changes—a consultation is required.

The consultation fee is $20, which will be applied toward your final alteration cost if you choose to move forward. During the consultation, we will discuss your specific needs, assess the garment, and determine the best approach to achieve the perfect fit and style.

Bridal Alterations Consultation

If you need help or advice on altering your wedding gown, incorporating a redesign, or making custom modifications, a consultation is required. This allows us to go over your vision, discuss the best approach for your dress, and ensure the perfect fit for your big day. If you have multiple gowns or dresses you need advice on, we can go over those as well during your consultation.

The consultation fee is $50, which will go toward your final alteration cost if you decide to move forward.

I had a dress that was tight in the waist. I would not take it to just anyone so I tried Susan. When I say “she did that”, she did. The dress is beautiful. I had a dress that I ordered from Ralph Lauren that was sleeveless and I wanted sleeves so I wouldn’t need a jacket. I am short so she cut the extra material from the bottom and made me sleeves. Love it. I am particular about my clothes and wanted someone to take care of them. I highly recommend Susan. Linda

As a vertically challenged person, I’m no stranger to having my clothes hemmed and tailored. I’ve taken several pieces to Susan, and she is by far one of the best. Her attention to detail and friendly disposition are unmatched! You’ll need to schedule a fitting, rather than walking in, but it will be worth it.
